      Pools & Beach Club

      The Excelsior Palace Portofino Coast offers two outdoor infinity pools overlooking the Mediterranean, one heated and open year-round, plus a third indoor heated pool with a mirror dome. Guests have private access to the beach club with hydromassage beds, sun loungers, and direct sea entry. The poolside bar serves drinks and snacks from spring through autumn.

      Lord Byron restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with panoramic views of the Gulf of Tigullio, offering signature Ligurian cuisine. The à-la-carte Eden Roc restaurant operates at the private beach during summer for lunch and dinner. Breakfast includes a buffet with smoked salmon, local cheeses, fresh pastries, and eggs cooked to order.

      Spa & Wellness

      The spa includes a traditional Turkish bath, a Mediterranean-essence Turkish bath, a Finnish sauna, a soft sauna, and a new indoor pool with heated water and mirror dome. A fitness center with sea-view equipment, treatment cabins, and a hairdresser are on site. Services range from body scrubs and facials to couples massage and hydrotherapy.

      Originally built in 1901, the Excelsior Palace Rapallo is the only 5-star luxury hotel on the Portofino Coast, with antique decor, original oil paintings, and a guest list that includes past celebrities. All guest rooms offer sea views, many with private balconies, and include air conditioning, satellite TV, bathrobes, and slippers. The historic building preserves its early-20th-century character through furnishings, chandeliers, and marble floors.

      The hotel is 7km from Portofino via the scenic SP227 coast road, with easy access to Portofino National Park, Santa Margherita Ligure, and the Gulf of Tigullio. Rapallo Station is a 5-minute taxi ride away, and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport is about 40km from the property. Guests can walk along the coastline to Santa Margherita in about 30 minutes or take a ferry to Portofino and Cinque Terre.
